The preliminary authorisation granted to ecrop GmbH for crypto securities register management pursuant to Section 1 (1a) sentence 2 no. 8 KWG in conjunction with Section 16 eWpG lapsed on 24 February 2026. ecrop GmbH no longer takes on any new licence-requiring business. The existing entries in the crypto securities register are being wound down in an orderly manner, in coordination with the supervisory authority, until 30 September 2026; until their transfer to a licensed registrar, the existing entries continue to be maintained for the affected issuers and holders.
