ecrop GmbH is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We strive to make our website, www.ecrop.de, conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.

 

We also aim to comply with the German "Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung" (BITV 2.0), which is based on the European standard EN 301 549, and the "Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz" (BGG). Furthermore, we are taking into account the requirements of the upcoming European Accessibility Act (EAA - Directive (EU) 2019/882), which will become binding from June 28, 2025, and will affect certain aspects of our platform

  • JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver

Third-Party Content

Some content on our website may be provided by third parties (e.g., embedded videos, social media feeds). We cannot guarantee the accessibility of this third-party content, but we strive to select providers who are committed to accessibility.

Limitations and Known Issues

Despite our best efforts, some accessibility issues may exist. We are aware of the following limitations:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible.

  • The chart on the docs.ecrop.de page is not yet fully keyboard accessible.

 

We are actively working to address these issues and improve the overall accessibility of our website. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website. While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.

Future Improvements

We are committed to continuous improvement in accessibility. Our future plans include:

 

  • Conducting a full external accessibility audit within our ISO 27001 certification

  • Implementing a fully accessible video player by End 2025.

  • Improving the keyboard accessibility of the interactive charts on the docs.ecrop.de page by End 2025.

  • Providing audio descriptions for all new video content.

  • Adding sign language videos.
